October Photography Challenge

Week 5
It's nearing the end of my photography challenge I am doing with Jenilee.
Next week I will post the last two: "in motion" and "self portrait".

Smile

Sunflare
This is a weak photo to show sunflare but it was the best I could get that day.
Usually when I get stellar sunflare photos it is an accident.

Something old
Brad was playing with old Legos.

After dark

Daily routine
I don't have coffee EVERY day but very close to it. :)

Something purchased
This is the newest Winnie The Pooh movie that was in theaters this past year. It was advertised "Only in theaters." Of course that made me nervous it would not be on DVD but it was eventually. :)

Don't forget to check out the last two next week and also Jenilee's blog!

October Photography Challenge

Here are my photographs from week 3 of the photography challenge from Sherry at Oh So Lovely, that Jenilee and I are doing.
My apologies that this is getting up a day later!
Next week I will have to get my post ready on Saturday and have it scheduled to go up on Sunday. :)
Here are my photos:

Something I Made
(I have not made anything with my sewing machine in a year and I finally did last week. This is what I made Brad last year for fun.)

Something Fun
David was on the hammock one night when we came home and he played outside with Brad for a while in the moonlight.

Close-up
Tyler's eye taken with my 50mm lens and a close-up filter. Close-up filters are much cheaper than a Macro lens (the set of filters was $14) and good enough for now. :)

From a Distance
Ok, maybe I cheated here. This isn't a great distance one. I was cleaning my Aunt's house and took this of Brad from the other room. :)

Flowers
Beautiful mums!

My Shoes
These are my well-worn shoes I got last year from Kohl's.

Something I Ate
I love pastries. :)

Come back next week to see what else I captured with my camera and also don't forget to check out Jenilee's blog! :)

October Photography Challenge

Well here it is- week 2 of the photography challenge I am doing with Jenilee.

Last week I didn't post which list we are following so here it is. It is from Sherry at Oh So Lovely.
I did forget one day, the "technology" day.
So here are the 6 photos I did get, Monday through today.

Clouds

Favorite Color

My favorite color is blue so I took a picture of Tyler and his beautiful blue eyes.

Someone I Love

Childhood Memory

Something New
This is a new watermelon from our garden. Maybe I stretched the meaning of "new" here. :)

Faceless Self Portrait

I can't wait to see what I can get this week. I hope to be more creative.
Don't forget to check out Jenilee's blog!

October Photography Challenge

Last month my friend Jenilee brought up on her blog's Facebook page that she would be interested in doing a 30 day photography challenge.

This appealed to me because I love trying new things with my camera but I definitely need the motivation to actually do it.

We will be posting on Sunday of our photos from the previous week.

Here are my first two photos-

They are not super because I was a little rushed in taking them (we just remembered yesterday we wanted to start this!) and I have yet to find my remote for my camera.
Not as easy but definitely doable. I just had my son stand where I would be so I could pre-focus then put it in manual focus so it wouldn't change when I pushed the button for the timer. :)

The first day is self portrait.
It was a dreary day so I just took my picture inside after I had gotten ready for going out to dinner with David and the boys.

The second day is "What I Wore."
Again, I will have to get better at this! Oh, and I am wearing the same top as the day before but in my defense I only wore it when we went out- so for about a couple hours. :)
I did not take my picture in the morning before or after church (this is what I wore to church) and then I took a nap and stayed in sweats and a t-shirt all day. So.....I actually put this outfit back on just to take the picture. :)

Shirt- Gap Outlet; jean skirt- Target; black flats- Vera Wang from her line at Kohl's (on sale last year I think for $30 and they were so worth it- I have worn them a LOT); necklace- gift from best friend (I was in her wedding and that was the necklace I wore); bracelet- heart on a chain (similar to the Tiffany bracelet) from Silpada.

So there you have it. My first two photos are not spectacular photography wise, but I am not a fan of taking a picture of myself with a tripod and I did not have much time.

Check back next Sunday to see what I took photographs of this week and also check out my friend Jenilee's blog and her photos for this challenge!
