Not Me! Monday

I haven't participated in Not Me! Monday in quite a while. Today, MckMama is giving away a prize so I had some incentive. ;-)
To read MckMama's Not Me! post and other posts, click on her button above.

Today, I did not let my little boy eat his first popsicle.
I would never let him, at his 15 1/2 months of age, eat a frozen dessert.

Beside the sugar factor, it is icky and sticky for a toddler to eat...INDOORS. Also, I would never give him something that had food coloring in it, or eat that myself... (I just found that out because I just checked the box...I guess I believed their "All Natural" claim :-/ ).

I would never give in to his whining and pointing because he may or may not have had a few tastes of other popsicles before and he wanted one all to himself this time.

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday. To see what everyone else has NOT been doing, click on the button above or head on over to MckMama's blog here.

Yesterday, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, my husband and son did not take a nap on the couch. As soon as my son woke up, I did not grab my camera and start snapping away to get the perfect cute shot of them!

I did not procrastinate this week and put off cleaning some areas that I wanted organized. My book shelf did not finally get organized on Saturday; I had it clean way before then! ;-)

And, I did not FINALLY get the top of my bookshelf decorated in a way that made me say "Ahh, I like this." :-)

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This past week I did not unknowingly use my husband's toothbrush. I am fully aware that our toothbrushes are identical, save the fact that we have different colored o-rings where the brush attaches to the base(his is green, mine is blue).

I would never grab his toothbrush on the charger, where mine is usually resting, because I might have forgotten it was charging there.
And I certainly would never forget to tell my husband and then the first time he would know anything about this was when he read my blog. :-)

Not Me! Monday

Yesterday, it was not me who told her husband to put the sleeping baby in the highchair because he needed to eat his lunch.

You see, it wasn't my baby who fell asleep on the way home from church. It wasn't me who worried that if he slept for much longer he would sleep WELL past lunchtime and then not want to take a real nap later. Nope, not me.

Maybe my husband was right when he said "Just let him sleep," because it wasn't my little boy who didn't want to take a nap yesterday afternoon. :-)

Not Me! Monday

Not Me! Monday- Snow Pop Epic Fail edition

Check out other Not Me! Monday's at MckMama's site; she is the woman who started this whole blog carnival to help us confess what we may or may not want to confess. Without further ado, here is my not me! confession:
I did not make MckMama's recipe for Snow Pops yesterday. If I did make them, they would have been absolutely perfect! If I had my husband pick up a few ingredients for me while he was at the store on Saturday, I would have told him the Hershey's Bliss white chocolates were the blue bag, NOT the purple bag, which are the milk chocolates. And, if I didn't have the proper wooden dowels for making Snow Pops, I would certainly go buy the correct size; I wouldn't make my Snow Pops much LARGER than they should be, to compensate for the larger wooden dowels I had. Nope, not me!
I also wouldn't try putting some type of sprinkle on the outside of one Pop, to see what it would look like. If I did, the white sugar crystals I rolled it in, wouldn't just "disappear" in the still-too-wet chocolate and make a mess- such as the Snow Pop on the left in this picture:

Here is another picture of what my Epic Fail Snow Pops would look like, if I made them:

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I was not overly excited to receive The Pioneer Woman's cookbook. So excited, that I made a week long menu consisting of Pioneer Woman recipes I wanted to try.
That being said, this would not be a photo of meatloaf from her cookbook:
And this is not olive cheese bread- that was so scrumptious, I wanted to eat it all- from the Pioneer Woman's cookbook, either.
Now that that's out of the way, onto something else; like my son. This is not a picture of my son. If it was, it was not taken approximately 9:30-10 PM. No, he is in bed between 7 and 8 every night. I would never let him stay up late as he certainly was NOT teething.

Because, ya know, if he was teething, he wouldn't look this happy.

And he wouldn't want to play on his drum.
So, I did not let my child stay up late. And while NOT taking pictures of my child staying up late, I didn't take another picture of one of my cats. Nope, not me! I have enough pictures of my kitties; I don't need anymore!
And because it is not me Monday, I feel the need, or rather DON'T feel the need, to confess that I have been a tad lazy and have not posted a Christmas celebration post about my Christmas gatherings. So, because I have not not posted that post, I certainly wouldn't use this post to show you some pictures of pretty spider webs on the beams of the porch at my mom's house.

These webs were not covered in beautiful frost and when I posted this particular picture I certainly did not NOT think I need better photography skills. Seriously, can you see the webs in intricate detail, in all their glory in this picture? Nope, because I certainly do NOT need more skills!

I did not eat this salad:

To make myself feel better after eating a few too many of these cookies:

Nope.......
Not me! I know that eating something healthy does not cancel out whatever you ate that wasn't healthy. I know better than that.

Not Me! Monday

The other night I did not cook on my gas stove top. I did not shake my sautee pan to move around the contents of said pan. Because I did not shake my sautee pan the olive oil in this pan did NOT catch on fire and make flames leap up to my microwave. I did not panic and yell for my husband and vow that I would never cook on the stove top again unless he was home. No, I know what to do in situations like this and I would never panic.
Speaking of my husband, we did not attend his work's Christmas party the other night. We would not be dressed up for that in this picture:

While at some restaurant I certainly would not eat one roll, ALL of my appetizer (and some of my hubby's), ALL of my beef stew and almost ALL of my salad and one glass of wine. When my entree came I did not only have room for one half of a prime rib slice and a few bites of potato and carrots. I certainly did not even consider eating my dessert at the restaurant instead of taking it "to-go." No, I know better than to stuff myself senseless. I know that to eat that much food in two hours would leave me in utter pain, never wanting to look at food again.

What have you "not" done this past week?

Not Me! Monday

This past week I did not let my 11 month old son "have at it" with his oatmeal, simply because he was cranky from teething and didn't want to eat from a spoon anymore. That would be completely messy and I would never just let him play with his food.

While driving down the road with my little boy, I did not think he was just the cutest little boy I had ever seen at that moment. And I certainly did not pull my truck over just to take a picture of him with my new camera (that I have with me all the time now...).

Speaking of my new camera, I did not "freak out" when my photographs were suddenly hazy and there seemed to be something wrong with my lens.

I did not panic wondering what I did wrong, only to realize that the filter over the lens needed to come off because there was moisture between that and the lens. And I did not breath a sigh of relief when I realized I fixed the problem. Nope, not me!

Not Me! Monday

It has been a few weeks since I have written a "Not Me! Monday" post; since the last time I have written one, I have had a few things happen that I would rather forget.
So, in the past few weeks I did not bake three cheesecakes. While baking one of the cheesecakes I did not choose to not put a sheet pan under the spring form pan the cheesecake was in. I always take precautions while baking. While the cheesecake was baking I certainly did not start to smell a burning smell in the next room and my fire alarm certainly did not go off soon after. When I checked on the cheesecake I did not see billows of gray smoke pour out of my oven. I then did not have to turn off the oven and take my baby boy out to the mud room because the house was full of smoke. Then next time I make a cheesecake I will not "not forget" to put a sheet pan under the cheesecake just in case anything should spill out.
In the past week, I did not continue to use my stuttering and stalling computer even though I had a sneaky suspicion that it was sick and very possibly could crash. My computer did not crash and I did not have to use my husbands lap top computer. Nope, I have not been "taking over" my husbands computer (as he puts it) for the past week. Nope, not me!
